Unum Behavioral Health improves mental health access for employees across locations

AB&T experienced the benefits of Unum Behavioral Health from the start. “The implementation process was progressive and streamlined,” reports Brenda Van Holland, Senior Vice President of People and Culture at American Bank & Trust. “Unum provided extensive training for everyone from the executive team to individual employees, making the transition smooth and efficient.”

Previously, the bank faced challenges in providing accessible wellness resources to its employees across three states and 19 locations. “We needed a solution that was easy to use and accessible from various locations and devices. With Unum, our employees can access the platform from the workplace, home or on their phones, making it a versatile tool in their wellness journey,” added Van Holland. The platform’s coverage extends beyond employees to their family members. According to Van Holland, “Several people have mentioned that their family members have used it as well, and they really have been blessed that we have the program available for them.”

Unum Behavioral Health has helped create a more supportive workplace, encouraging employees to share their experiences and stories. “The interesting part when we implemented Unum Behavioral Health was the response we got from our employees. It was like it gave them permission to come and share their stories,” said Van Holland.
