CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Jan. 9, 2006) – On Jan. 6, 2006, the Board of Directors of UnumProvident Corporation (NYSE: UNM) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.075 per share of its Common Stock, to be paid on Feb. 17, 2006, to stockholders of record on Jan. 30, 2006.
